AirBoss: the greener tyre

Since the 2003 EU Landfill Directive it is illegal to send whole tyres to landfill sites. Then from July 2006 it became illegal to send shredded tyres to landfill sites.

AirBoss can provide OEMs with just the option for lower carbon emissions, minimal waste rubber and significantly reduced maintenance costs.

With AirBoss segments you benefit from:

• Disposing of less rubber

Because only individual segments are being replaced, rather than entire tyres, the quantity of rubber for disposal is dramatically reduced.

• Less CO2 emissions

Operators maintain their own tyres with the segmented-tyre system. There is never a need to call out a separate repair vehicle onto site, which clearly avoids unnecessary CO2 emissions.
